Council Approval
Do garden sheds require council approval?
In most cases, garden sheds under 10 square metres do not require council approval. Popular sizes such as our 1.52m x 0.78m and 3.00m x 3.00m garden sheds generally fall within this exemption. However, regulations vary between local councils, so we strongly recommend checking with your local authority before you purchase.
How do I obtain council approval?
To find out if approval is needed, contact your local council directly. They can advise on any requirements and what supporting documents may be needed for your application.
