Absco Home Delivery Guidelines
Absco home delivery is organised directly from the factory to your home. It’s a hassle-free option due to the bulky nature of our products. Absco work with a Carrier Management Partner to provide service availability nationally, utilising a broad carrier network to deliver to metro and regional locations.
How Home Delivery Works
Garden sheds, workshops, carports and garages are steel structures that come flat-packed and on pallets. They can be heavy, and the bigger the product the bigger the delivery cartons. So keeping that in mind, below is what to expect for your delivery.
Important Note: Unless specifically advised otherwise, due to the nature of the products, all deliveries are assumed Authority to Leave (ATL).
Delivery Timeframe & Window
- We strive to deliver your order within the estimated timeframe provided during checkout. However, please note that delays may occur.
- On dispatch from our warehouse, you will receive an email with your order’s tracking number. (For Bunnings’ customers, your tracking number will be sent to your store’s Special Orders team). Please refer to the transit schedule listed in this email as a guide and continue to monitor your order through the tracking number to get a better idea of your delivery’s eta.
- Home deliveries are completed Monday to Friday between 8am – 5pm.
- A phone call can be arranged prior to delivery if requested at the time of purchase and noted on your order. While we will make every effort to fulfill this request, please understand that it cannot be guaranteed due to the varying conditions of the network.
Delivery Expectations
- Deliveries will be placed at the front of the property, commonly referred to as curbside.
- Deliveries will only be placed on a flat, stable surface; such as a driveway if safe to do so.
- If safe and feasible, the delivery may be brought closer to the house from the curbside, however this is not an expectation of the delivery driver to do so. Deliveries will not be carried or moved inside or around the back of a property.
- Pallet jack trolleys will not to be used over loose or unstable surfaces including grass.
- Please note that all drivers must adhere to local laws and regulations when operating machinery to unload the delivery from the truck. Crane operations will not occur within legal restrictions of overhead powerlines or other obstacles.
- Once the delivery has been completed to curbside, the delivery driver has completed their responsibilities of the delivery.
- Drivers are not required to remove any packaging/shrinkwrap and will not dispose of any such products or take pallets in which the goods were delivered on.
While the drivers appreciate the willingness to assist with unloading, to ensure safety and efficiency, we kindly request that no external assistance be provided during the unloading process.
When Your Order Arrives
Important Note: Most products can be moved with a 2 person lift. However larger or heavier items may need to be opened and moved in parts.
